The founder, Bond Gilmer, brings a lifetime of off-road and overlanding experience to the company. Growing up in South Africa and racing motocross and BMX, he learned early the value of rugged, reliable gear. He moved to the U.S. at age 16, dove into the Jeep world, spent time in Australia working in off-road builds, and then launched Rebel Off Road during the 2010 recession.
From those roots, Rebel Off Road has grown into a respected destination for custom 4×4, Jeep, truck, and overland builds — not just a parts shop, but a full-scale builder with a community mindset.
